They say a teacher mold students, but no; a teacher helps them realize themselves. A teacher brings out of them qualities that has been buried deep down, that many times they don't know they have. The teachers job is to discover and uncover, to bring to the surface slowly or quickly, depending on how many layers of cloudiness that may exist within them. When a teacher brings them to the surface, we not only become fully & and completely aware of them but the student does to. When a student initially comes to me with a spark of interest I feed that spark, and it becomes a flame. I feed the flame and it becomes a fire, I feed that fire and it becomes a roaring blaze...soon the student becomes the passionate fire that burns through all & every obstacle they may encounter. They are part of the fire that illuminates the way.

The Essence of Sifu Fong Ha's Approach

Ch’i Kung (qigong) practice is expressed in four fundamental disciplines: sitting mediation; Wu Chi Chi Kung (Wuji Qigong), or “standing mediation;” I Ch’uan (yiquan), or “intention practice;” and Tai Chi Ch’uan (taijiquan). We begin with sitting meditation and Wu Chi Ch’i Kung. Ch’i Kung, literally “practice of vital energy,” helps us break through a lifetime of old habits and programmed patterns of behavior and movement, allowing what is essential in us to come forth. This practice cultivates chi (qi), breaks down blocks to the free flow of ch’i throughout the body, and integrates the upper and lower body. I Ch’uan (or “intention practice”) develops our ability to direct ch’i, through focusing the intention. In the broader sense, this practice develops our ability to focus the mind for improved concentration, creativity, and productivity. From stillness, we begin to move. Practice of the 108 moves of the Tai Chi Ch’uan long form further develops ch’i and it, builds strength in movement, stamina, and the ability to relax in strength. At the highest level of practice, the movements of the form become informed or filled by ch’i.

Qigong Recovery Group for

People Living with Cancer
Thursday Nights 7pm-8pm
Taught by G. W. Abersold

Qigong Methods for Cancer
are practices designed to cleanse, strengthen, & govern the body's energy fields. The practice develops "Zheng Qi" (upright, correct energy) which is needed for fighting disease and cancer formations.  The practice of Qigong Methods for Cancer is to aid a persons excess condition through cleansing, followed by strengthening practices, which is followed by governing practices. Learning how to activate the rapid growth of healthy energy & the quick expulsion of sickly Qi  quickly restore normal body function.

The practices are simple to do; there is no complicated form or uncomfortable postures taught. The practices are sophisticated and you will feel a difference through practice on a daily basis.

**This is a ongoing group**
